February leads off with a catalogued auction of books and ephemera.

Books: Rare 1st ed, 1st st A Wrinkle in Time by Madelaine L’Engle, 1st ed Hardy Boys books, Stories of the Sea and the Land (ca. 1855), Struggles and Triumphs by P.T. Barnum (1873 Author’s Edition) and more.

Magazine collections: Horseless Age, Life, Firefighting magazines dating to the 1930s, QST Amateur Radio and New England Magazine (ca. 1895-6) and more.

Fine ephemera: 2 tickets from the 1967 World Series games 6 & 7 at Fenway Park, early sports programs from Harvard, an original 1882 catalog from E. Butterick & Co., 3 Reploggle globes, early railroad schedules and unique trainman items, a 1953 concert program featuring Benny Goodman and Louis Armstrong, early die-cut Valentines, several collections of postcards, sheet music, and early U.S. and foreign postage stamps and many more treasures comprising a fabulous mid-winter sale!

Directions: Rte 128 to exit 26. From the south turn right on Lowell Street, from the north, turn left on Lowell Street. 1.5 Miles turn right on Foster Street (Peabody Center, where the tall monument is). Go under the foot bridge connecting the buildings and PARK IN THE BACK!

Plenty of parking, catered, handicapped accessible.

Paulo Adam's Auction Services is in Building 2 on the second floor.

Terms & Conditions: Cash, good local check, MC, Visa accepted. 15% Buyer’s premium, all bidders must register, all bidders must present two forms of identification (at least one photo), only those presenting valid tax id certificates will be exempt from 5% MA sales tax, phone and absentee bids accepted.

Phone/absentee bids must be arranged by Febuary 4, 2009.
